Research, Define the problems, user pain points, and give solutions accordingly
Pegadaian Syariah is a financial institution that operates based on Sharia principles in providing pawn services to the public. The fundamental principles of Pegadaian Syariah are to uphold justice, transparency, and compliance with Islamic laws.
The results of the research I conducted by searching for information on internet group forums and examining several reviews about the pawnshop application indicate that there are several issues experienced by people:
Users may experience difficulties in obtaining complete information about Sharia pawnshop products and services. This can cause confusion and uncertainty in making decisions related to pawning.
Users may struggle to plan their finances before applying for a pawn. They may be unable to accurately calculate the loan amount they can obtain based on the collateral value.
Users may forget or be unaware of the due dates for installment payments or the deadline for retrieving their pawned items. This can lead to late payments or difficulties in reclaiming the pawned items according to the schedule.
Users may encounter difficulties in finding the nearest Sharia pawnshop branch. They may not know the exact location or lack easy access to such information.
Users may have limited understanding of Sharia financial principles and how Sharia pawnshops can benefit their financial management.
Users may face challenges in tracking and managing their transaction history related to Sharia pawnshop services. Without easy access to such information, users may struggle to monitor their finances and make necessary adjustments.
Users may encounter limitations in contacting Sharia pawnshop customer service. They may not have easily reachable communication channels or have difficulties finding the right contact information.
Users may not have adequate access to financial tips and advice that align with Sharia principles. They may be unaware of how to manage daily finances, save money, or implement financial strategies in line with Sharia principles.
Based on the research results that explained several technical user problems, I conducted an analysis and defined these problems into more specific problem scopes, including:

5. Lack of Understanding of Sharia Finance
6. Difficulty in Tracking and Managing Transaction History

8. Lack of Access to Sharia Financial Tips and Advice.
Based on the Previous Define Process, I made several Settlement Assumptions along with values/Outcomes on the 8 define points.
